Britney Britney Britney....

What do I say about this album that has not been said already? To be fair, I have not heard this entire album. However, I have heard three tracks off of it and I am not impressed in the least, and my dislike is not motivated by jealousy but rather lack of talent on Britney Spears' part. (I know I can't sing, but I'm also not touring the world and making millions for being ear-splitting but overly risque either.) And if Miss Spears wants one last gasp at reviving her dying career, she should read this review.
For one, if she wants to attract a more "adult" fanbase, she might try actually writing some lyrics and keeping her clothes on because her so-called "grown-up" act leaves much to be desired. Dancing around half-naked and "singing" constantly about how sexual she is doesn't show how adult she is,it just makes her look and sound like a 15 year old virgin who likes to pretend that they are more sexually experienced than they really are.
Secondly, she needs to take some voice lessons. I say this because as a music journalism major, I notice some major flaws in her voice, such as inability to hit high notes decently, bad vocal technique, and her constanr need to use a whispery "baby" voice. And anyone who says otherwise is either extremely deluded or has no concept of a true rock/pop vocalist because Miss Britney is not one of them.
When I think of the term "female rock/pop vocalist", people like Doro Pesch, Angela Gossow and Pat Benatar some to mind, not Britney Spears, who couid only hope to have even an ounce of any of these women's talent. You see, these women don't have to take off their clothes, kiss Madonna or wear underclothes onstage to get people to hear them, because they have something Britney Spears does not: talent.
Think about it for a moment after watching a video by Arch Enemy, Warlock,or Pat Benatar. Are any of these frontwomen dancing with snakes? Pulling their clothes off? Simulating sex with dancers? No, they are not and that's because they don't need to. Their talent speaks louder and is sexier than Britney Spears' faux sex appeal.
This being said, anyone who buys this album will probably either be some dirty old man or a TRL addict who won't give a rodent's rectum what I say,so buy this album at your own risk, but be warned that it is the same reheated trash this fantastically untalented person puts out year after year, just smuttier than the last stupefyingly unlistenable effort.
Hopefully she goes away soon and takes her other unlistenable half-dressed blonde bimbo cronies Jessica Simpson,Christina Aguilera, and Hilary Duff with her. Stick a fork in her, she's done.
Anyway, instead of buying this waste, I recommend good (male and female) bands who actually play their own instruments and write their own songs, such as HammerFall, Powerman 5000,Arch Enemy and The Donnas. And for those of you who don't like metal/hard/alternative rock, try Michelle Branch, Joss Stone, Toby Lightman, Norah Jones and Vanessa Carlton. Anything but this, please.

The Best Music I've Ever Heard

I can not believe how wonderful Bridge Over Troubled Water is. Also my personal favorite is This Is The Night. My goodness. The way these two songs are sung by Mr. Clay Aiken, is just unbelievable. Such music and vocals. I have not heard anything this amazing in quite some time.
