Diva's Greatest Hits and More

The two (2) CDs are basically broken down to two categories: Cool Down (Disc 1) and Throw Down (Disc 2). Throw Down contains all dance mixes of various DJs.... and I'm glad for this. Now I don't have to run around buying singles to get the dance/mix versions...like My Love is Your Love and I Learned From The Best.... can't wait to get to the gym and work-out with Whitney's Disc 2..... Also, Disc 2 contains the "Star Spangled Banner song that Le Diva performed live last January 29, 1991 at the Super Bowl... and a bonus track "One Moment In Time".....
Disc 1 contains great classical ballads plus more... especially the duet with Deborah Cox, who is a great singer by the way....amazing duet! Oh yeah the duet with Enrique Iglesias was also great.....
Over all, this is one collection that every R&B enthusiast(s) should have.... it has everything! Music for dancing... music for lonely nights.... music when you're with somebody special..... music for.. get the message, huh?

R B SOUND ISN'T NECESSARLY DESTINY CHILD'S FORTE-Good effort

When I first heard Lose My Breath on the radio, I was like who is singing this garbage? Shortly after the DJ announced it was Destiny's Child, I was not shocked the song fits into the stereotypical style of the group. Then I had the chance to hear the CD in its entirety and was shocked that it did not contain songs like Bills, Bills, Bills, Bug-A-Boo and so on. I like that they took it up a notch and tried to reach back and grab a more soulful R & B sound.

Michelle, I am shocked at the nastiness of your part in Solider. I am somewhat confused most Gospel singers who could have a larger career in secular music say they would never cross over. How can Michelle sing both????

I wish I could have heard more of Kelly on the CD she has a great voice and in my opinion she has a better sound than Ms. Knowles does. I hate her solo effort was horrible. I will keep my fingers crossed that Kelly will try again and show the world her talents surpasses one verse and backup.

CD jacket artwork is like the Mona Lisa you have to be a true art lover to appreciate it. Not sure, what they were thinking, it is so dark almost depressing. However, the cover of the single Lose My Breath is great.

I would recommend CD to an older audience; if you are a teen fan of Destiny's Child, you may be disappointed.

This IS a Very Special Christmas CD!

This is a very enjoyable CD, with something for everyone, whether you like rock, pop, or rap. Highlights include Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by U2, which sounds just like a 'regular' U2 song; Do You Hear What I Hear by Whitney Houston, The Coventry Carol by Alison Moyet, a little known song by a regrettably little known singer, the rocking I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus by John Mellencamp, with the added kick of his young daughter singing at the end, and a haunting version of Silent Night by Stevie Nicks (although it's annoying that she changes the words to make it slightly less religious, after all the song IS about the night Jesus was born)! But the two absolute best songs are Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by the Pretenders and Gabriel's Message by Sting- these songs are beautifully performed and are probably the best versions of the songs I've ever heard. The only song I really dislike and always skip is Merry Christmas Baby by Bruce Springsteen.
