Best Madonna CD Ever

Madonna is at her best here on "American Life". She has really stepped up and delivered important political, social and personal messages on this CD. This was a very bold move as most people these days don't want to hear about real issues. They would rather be distracted by repetitious and mediocre light pop.

I am NOTa Fan of Madonna

At first, I didn't really like this album of Madonna when I heard it. I was expecting it to sound more like "Ray Of Light" when I first played it and what I heard was the opening with a more slow song that started off nice and quiet. I didn't expect it to be that way at first, but then after a few years, I learned to like it, and now, it's one of my favorite Madonna albums! This is the first Madonna album I owned, and the songs on this album are fantastically brilliant! The first single, "Frozen" is one of my most wonderful favorites of all time and I still like it til this day! "Ray Of Light" is such a fantastically well-made song and I'm glad that the name of this song was this album's album title! Madonna does really well in singing these songs with emotion and power and I'm glad to have owned this album by Madonna.

Wonderful!

Another stellar release by Eno and friends. Its ambient music with a beat! The album contains some of the most beautiful string arrangements and synth pads I have heard in quite some time on an Eno record.
"Like Pictures" is a wounderful track (my favorite) with a cameo by Larie Anderson, and done with some great vocoder work, I don't ever recall Eno useing one in the past. Near the end there are some long silences between the last two tracks, this harkens back to "Ambient Music For Airports." If you have waited a while for this release it has been well worth the wait, and if your are interested in Brian Eno's work I would recomend this album as a good starting point.

Indiana jones and the Last Crusade Review

This is one of john Williams finest compositions. Being a great fan of john William's music and having seen the film, I searched around for the soundtrack and was not disappointed. John Williams is the master of creating music that is rich in themes and also interweaving at these themes into the action of the film. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is one of my favourite John Williams soundtracks. The Scherzo for Motorcycle and Orchestra is marvellous. The tense action of the Motorbike chase is fuelled by the racing strings and brass of the scherzo. Other exciting pieces are Ah, Rats!!! and Escape from Venice, although in my opinion the Nazi Theme is the best in the movie. A pompous, brass statement, this theme perfectly captures the rigidity and brutality of the Nazi officers. This is not to demean the other themes though - The Grail theme, Raiders March and the theme for Hanry Jones are also fantastic. It was a pity that the soundtrack only included half the music from the movie as a lot of good music is left out. Belly of the Steel beast was one of the soundtracks best compositions, written for the scene where Indy rescues his father and Marcus from the Nazi tank before it falls off the side of the canyon. The music for this movie perfectly suits the action and the story, especially with the adventurous Raiders March from the previous two films and the noble and majestic Grail theme. This is a fantastic score, on the level with Jurassic Park and Star Wars.
