Electronic is an album full of great dance rock songs

Electronic is Bernard Sumner lead signer of New Order with Johnny Marr the guitarist for the Smiths. Their self-titled cd is really strong and consists of mostly dance rock songs.
There are a couple songs where Johnny's guitar is really noticeable and quite good. However, most of the songs are more dance rock reminiscent of some of New Order's previous work.
Each song has a lot of changes in it, so if you do not like it at first give it a full listen and see what you think. Some of the songs that begin sort of techno or dance music really develop with great choruses, guitar, or keyboards.
On a couple of songs the Pet Shop Boys aid Electronic and these songs are pretty good. I really like "Getting Away With It" where Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys sings on the choruses along with Bernard Sumner. I prefer Bernard's voice and feel that the strongest tracks are where his signing is prevalent, which is every track except "Patience of a Saint" where Neil Tennant sings lead.
I feel this is a great dance rock album. However, if you are more into straight forward rock with dance hooks here and there check out Electronic's most recent album "Twisted Tenderness" or New Orders newest "Get Ready".

*~~~I watched it fifteen times and it is still great! ~~~*

*~~~This movie brings back a lot of memories of when I was young and how I used to love Nikki's flamboyant ways. Her sense of indapendence and what to do really got to me as well as the atmosphere the movie itself created.~~~*

"Oh, I love that song!"

Everytime I play this album, someone says "Oh, I love that song!" That statement pretty much sums it up: no one loves every song, but there's something about at least one song that everyone can connect with... or maybe 2 or 3 songs. I have my 'add to my-mix cd's' songs, and I have my 'skip on by' songs.Electronica. Trip-hop. Ethereal. Like all triangles in life, you can't have all points on one line Take 2 and it's working, but there's always something missing.
