HATERS! TAKE THE BACK SEAT, MARIAH IS ON FIYA AGAIN!

i have always been respectful of people's opinions whether i agree with them or not, but i just dont know what to say about all the negativity that mariah has been getting these past months,i am not just speaking out against the haters because i am a die hard fan, i too can recognize when mariah makes blunders or doesn't work up to the best of her ability, but there is absoloutetly nothing wrong with this album. sure it's different if you compare it to all the other albums all the way back to her 1990 debut, but life is all about change..... evolution, and that is what mariah is doing, she is finding new parts of herself all the time and she just wants to share with us. well...... the ones who appreciate her that is! so try to cut her some slack, believe me, she's having a hard time without your criticism, if you dont approve of her artistry then just turn the page, flip the channel change the dial, but dont be a hater, mariah if you are reading this, i love you.

Sogno evokes epic feelings and touches the heart profoundly

Sogno to me is an album which seems to bring out feelings of epic proportion, Andrea's voice to me carries with it the weight, and lightness, of the story of the world. There are moments which just seem to lift you up, and others that melt the heart, and his ability to let his voice 'die' as if it hovers over peaceful pastures and fades away into the distance is truly marvellous. The focus of this album seems to be to reach people not otherwise drawn that much to classical repertoire, with popular influences woven through it, though not forsaking that background. To those more at ease with classical repertoire, the drums mixed with the strings at times might seem superfluous and somewhat degrading to a particular song, but then again, this is due to the focus of the album. But none the less to me it is a work of beauty and i know i will enjoy it for many years to come. So thank you, Andrea, for reaching many people in this way with your wonderful voice.

A loud and funny album

Okay, the reviewers trashed this show, but the matinee preview audience I was seated with LOVED it. Fast, loud, and funny with an attitude exemplified by the first night program title page in ARABIC! That attitude pervades every number in the exceptional score presented by the entire exceptional cast. The score is bright, the lyrics witty and knowing and the performances stellar. Of particular note is the 11th hour number "A Loud and Funny Song," and the title song. It's fun, full of great performances (can enough be said about Judy Kaye?) and well worth the investment.

No one does it better than Russell!

The music world will surely be "decked" with Watson's trademark classical interpretations of familiar operatic songs. The artist, backed by a bevy of talented musical conductors, is wonderful as he takes on such standards as "Santa Lucia", "Granada", "Torna a Surriento", and "La Danza".
However, it is his versions of "Core `ngrato" and "The Pearl Fishers' Duet that show Watson at his most captivating and evocative with his tenor voice. These are the songs that bring the spirit of this musical genre alive.
No one does it better than Russell.
