Very Disappointing - Madonna's Musical Middle Age Crisis

For an artist that keeps reinventing herself both musically, and physically, this CD should come as no surprise. I guess one thing some are used is to compare an artist's future work against its "so-far" best, which to me is definitely "Ray of Light". I do not get into the habit of expecting the same type of music from all the musicians I listen to. If you are looking for a "Ray of Light 2" - look elsewhere.
Must admit I was afraid to "explore" her "Ray of Light" when it was released 2 years ago. Like I said, I turned out to consider it as her best. So, I gave her latest "Music" a chance, and Madonna does not disappoint a bit. At 1st listen everything sounded "weird" (except the 1st track "Music", which is gets into my blood as the most danceable of the whole CD). However, listening to it more than once, I am conviced this is a good one.
My favorites are "Music", "Impressive Instant", and "It's Amazing", a trio that is sure to fire up dance floors around (very sultry!). "Music" replaces "Vogue" as my favorite Madonna dance song (can't stop listening to it). With ballads, I go with "I Deserve It" (romantic with such beautiful lyrics), "Nobody's Perfect" (a true statement in all societies), and "Paradise (Not for Me)", which kinda gives me the blues.
Musically, Madonna is to be taken seriously. She definitely has the "muse". Her music career history says nothing less, her music very mature (experience definitely counts). To me, she still reigns in pop music because, in part, she has the guts to be really creative. "Hey Mr. DJ, put a record on, I wanna dance to Madonna".

Suba is Supa'

Now, a whole year after his tragic death, the music of this great musician excites me as much as the first time I ever heard one of his works. If you haven't known, Suba's real name is Mitar Subotic, he comes from the city Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, Europe, the city I was born in. I have listened and followed his music through the years and although he was not very famous here, he had many admirers, including myself. He worked with many popular musicians in former Yugoslavia as a producer and his contribution to their songs was always recognizable and specific. His previous CD, called ANGEL'S BREATH was also recorded in Brazil with another charismatic musician from Belgrade, Milan Mladenovic, who also died 6 years ago from cancer. Suba's last work, Sao Paulo Confessions, has proved again his enormous talent and lumps of ideas that were to come from this genius, but unfortunately he did not live to share them with all of us...

From a true fan!!!

This is far beyond on of his classic alabums. If you love Netherlands then this is the cd you must have. I should know I love and know all his songs and styles. Plus I own every signal albaum he has produced. Half Moon Bay will should you his instrumental talents. If you agree then you should listen to Twin Sons Of Different Mothers. This Heart, Full Circle, When You Are Not Near Me, Icarus Ascending are ones that will become favorites, but the whole alauam will be cherished. Last but not least Earth Anthem, you will get a glimpse of what Dan believes in or his spiritualty. It echoes what was said in felt from his song Spirit Trail on Greetings From The West cd. Earth Anthem is alot slower and thought provocking. Happy Listening!!!!

Good Jazz Music from a Great Artist

This is an excellent collection of work from a great artist. Each piece just seems to blend seamlessly into the next one and all of them come together to give you a true taste of what John Coltrane is all about. I definitely like the work here better than some of the stuff on "Birth of Cool.." which is another one of my favorite Coltrane albums, this sound is just much richer and more haunting in many respects. Overall a very good piece of work.
