Britney- My idol

I over estimated this album just a little. I was hoping it was going to be the same transition as Christina Aguilera's transition in "Stipped". When I first heard the album all of the songs sounded the same. Once I listened to it a little more I found that there were some good songs. This is how I rate them:
1. Me Against the Music feat. Madonna.- 7/10. I have to admit it is a very catchy tune. This is what made me decide to purchase the album. A great dance song.
2. (I Got That) Boom Boom (featuring Ying Yang Twins)- 2/10. I can not stand this song. This is the worst song on the album. The Ying Yang Twins and Britney Spears do not mix together.
3. Showdown- 6/10. I like the beat. It is kind of sultry. It makes you want to dance real sexy and just be "dirty". Good song.
4. Breathe On Me- 9/10. This is a song you would hear at Express. This is one of my favorite songs on this album. This song just makes you move if you know it or not.
5. Early Mornin'- 4/10. It sounds like showdown. It doesn't do much for me though. It is just a normal song and that's about it.
6. Toxic- 10/10. My favorite song on the album. I love the way the beat changes for the chorus. fun beat and great to just cruise the car in.
7. Outrageous- 6/10- I liked it but I overplayed it so I guess that means that it is an alright song if I can't listen to it anymore. Different song but it is good.
8. Touch of My Hand- 7/10. Because this is about masterbation! It sounds like a Madonna song. I didn't realize what it was about until I heard the words. I like the beat of it though and the way her voice goes so well with the song.
9. The Hook Up- 9/10- I want her to release this song next because the mood of the song is so upbeat! This is a good club song. You could dance so dirty to it too.
10. Shadow- 5/10. I was suprised that she has only two ballads on this album. I am happy for it. This song is so much like her "Oops" days. It is ok. a bubble gum ballad song.
11. Brave New Girl- 9/10. I really like this song. Although it sounds nothing like Britney Spears. It is a bubble gum song too but there is just something about it that is catchy.
12. Everytime- 7/10. I just don't like the way she sings when it is a slow song and she has to elaberate on her voice. She isn't a Christina Aguilera. Pretty words though.
13. Me Against the Music (featuring Madonna) Rishi Rich's Desi Kulcha Remix- 8/10. Club song.

Title: Jekyll & Hyde - The Gothic Musical Thriller (1994 Concept Cast)
Label: Atlantic
Artist: Frank Wildhorn, Leslie Bricusse, Anthony Warlow, Linda Eder, Carolee Carmello, John Raitt
Rating: 5/5

Indescribably gorgeous

I first decided to listen to this CD when a co-worker of mine absent-mindedly started singing "Murder Murder." I asked her where on earth that song was from, and she lent me the CD.
After listening to the first three tracks, I IMMEDIATELY went and bought it! I was hooked instantaneously, I had never heard music so stunning in my life. Much of it is fun, much MORE of it is haunting in its beauty -- songs like "Dangerous Game" (my favorite track) and "Girls of the Night" and "No One Knows Who I Am." In 35 tracks, there was amazingly only ONE song that I didn't find to be brilliant and sumptuous ("Letting Go," which I found fairly boring).
Anthony Warlow is wonderful as Jekyll/Hyde, but the crown jewel in this is Linda Eder. Eder's voice is sensual and evocative, not to mention simply thrilling. I love listening to her sing! She's incredible.
I wish that they had made this "concept CD" into the real thing; I don't understand why they changed it so much when they finally put it onstage! These songs were perfect, rich and glorious, and it would have made an incredible show as is.
I listen to this soundtrack all the time, and I love it just as much now as I ever did. Songs like these are why I love music, and musicals, in the first place.

Title: Music
Label: Warner Brothers
Artist: Madonna
Rating: 5/5
Customer rating - 5 out of 5

There are so many things that I would like to say about this album, but 1000 words wouldn't be enough. 'Music' is a great song, that now everyone knows, but that's just the begining. She has outdone herself again! Whether you liked the song 'Music' or not, you will love this album. Madonna has mixed electronic sounds with the most melodic beats you'll ever hear! Track 8 'What It Feels Like For A Girl' is arguably the best track. Both the music mixed with the very truthful lyrics are unbelieveable! I highly recommend this cd to anyone under 60, and maybe over, cause even my grandma loves it!

It's too bad that Amazon doesn't allow 1/2 star-ratings!

If it did, I would probably give Madonna's latest a 3.5 rating. "American Life" is more like a cross between "Music" and "Ray of Light", jockeying an uneven blend of electronica and pop.
The Material Girl's lyrics, especially on the title cut, "Hollywood", and "I'm So Stupid" are rather contradictory. How can one be critical of celebrity, as she seems to be when that is the very nature of her success? Is this more mature Madonna biting the proverbial hand that fed her so many years?
I hope not.
It appears that there are two camps of Madonna fans: those that think that she can do no wrong and those that try to psychoanalyze and scrutinize every aspect of the singer's character.
"American Idol" may be the first Madonna disc to satisfy both contingencies.
