Excellent Performance & Sound--An Astonishing Value!

Superlatively well-performed and well-recorded. Gallagher plays these terrific selections with remarkable skill and style not nearly as discernable in other guitar CDs I have heard. This is the real deal. I especially like the Dowland pieces, though there are absolutely no "throwaway" tracks on the CD by any stretch. A poor recording production could still sink a performance no matter how fine...I am pleased to say the production of the CD does measure up. Buy this CD -- yes you can believe the hype, this is an exceptional solo classical guitar performance at a bargain basement price!

Incredible music from a spectacular show!!

The spectacular show "Feet of Flames" provides a musical feast for anyone who loves Irish dancing, exquisite soprano voices, and just plain beautiful music. Watching the show video is a treat. Listening to the sound track on a home or car stereo is sublime. Except for the last track on the CD, all of the numbers were recorded in a studio a month before the show was performed. The last track was recorded live on July 25th, 1998 during the performance at Hyde Park in London. The CD has all the new music written by Ronan Hardiman for the show, as well as some of the music from "Lord of the Dance" that was not on the LOTD sound track CD/cassette. The exquisite voice of Anne Buckley is heard on two of the three vocals from "Feet of Flames" - one number was omitted and I cannot understand why. Michael Flatley plays the flute in three of the numbers, including his own "Whispering Wind", which has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written for a flute or anything else. Although I love everything on the CD, my personal favorites are "Whispering Wind" and "Dance Above the Rainbow", which invokes the visual delight of that incredible dance number being danced by the most extraordinary dancers on this planet! I hope the partnership of Hardiman and Flatley is renewed for another magical and electrifying dance and musical experience.

darn good

A superb recording, this DVD-Audio was a little lacking on the LFE tracks on both Dolby Digital and DTS. Still instruments are thrown around everywhere. In fact, it can be disorienting upon the first listen. However, if you turn up the gain on your sub and THEN play this disc for your friends, they will all hate and envy you!

Overrated

This has to be the most overrated single of Madonna's career. I personally detest it, most likely due to the overexposure, but honestly, the song is not superior to most of Madonna's work. In fact, it's inferior. Too much hype.
