My First But Not My Last

This is my first CD by Michael Buble. When I heard Feeling Good I knew that I had to buy this CD. It is excellent with hits after hits. Songs like Quando,Quando also Home which is excellent. If you haven't heard a good music cd in long time this is it.

Title: The Velvet Rope

The Velvet Rope is exquisit....

Out of the Janet album's I've heard this is by far the best one. Now I've only heard 3 out of seven of her albums: Janet Jackson,Dream Street,Control,Rythm Nation 1814,Janet,Velvet Rope, and All for you. Which being Control,Rythm Nation 1814,and Velvet Rope which I frequently listen to. Janet has a very unique sound and edge in music. Someone said she was the queen of pop? No Janet is more R&B and she has been ever since her "Janet" album, no I haven't heard the whole album, but I've heard alot of it and it is definetely more R&B then pop from what I've heard. Janet is aloud to change genre's like any other artist. And her music is most personal and revealing when its R&B. Now to the Velvet Rope: I was suprized at how good this album really is speaking on so many different subjects and sex is really only talked about on one song "Rope Burn". This album has alot of significant meaning much like Rythm Nation 1814. But this one hits harder subjects like homophobia, death, bondage, and domestic violence. She reveals alot on this album. Janet always says that she is writing about her life I must say that she leads a very interesting life. The velvet rope has an excellent cover of a Joni Mitchel song called " 'Got till its gone". I listen to this album frequently. My favorite track off the CD would be "What about" an anthem speaking against domestic violence done quite well. And there is a hidden track after the last track just wait about 1 minute and it will come. Its a very good song about feeling good about who you are and that you can achieve whatever you want if you really want it, a very good song. Other favorites are together again,I get so lonely,'got till its gone, and Go deep. The other songs are good, but they don't compare to these songs. And someone on here said that "Rope Burn" is a bad song. I actually like it,it is a very sexual song which I normally don't like, but this song is very sweet. Some of the tracks on here are a little hard to listen to,but for the most part this is a very good album. Even if you are'nt a Janet fan this is worth a listen and buy. If you're a Janet fan and have'nt heard this album you're missing out!!!! Maybe this album didn't sell as much as her albums usually do,but so!!! That doesn't make it a bad album not at all. Esp. for R&B fans she blows the competition away. Arguably this is Janet's best effort to date making it listenable to fans of all musical genre's, but only if you have an open mind. Open your hearts and minds and you will recieve this gift with great joy!!!
God Bless ~Amy
