Bjork does it again

All I can say is "wonderful". Vespertine is full of raw emotion and breathes life into you while you are listening. This is definetely some of Bjork's best work yet.

More Clay, less background!

I totally agree with Rewards and Disappointments. Clay is a phenomenal talent, but once again is somewhat drowned out by background music; this was also true with Bridge Over Troubled Waters. He has performed a few of these songs on TV and they are absolutely beautiful. As always, he does a great job and I would recommend this CD, but I hope the next one emphasizes the range of his voice and tones down the pop-rock background that sometimes makes him sound like he is under water. Clay only needs minimal accompaniment -- we want to hear his beautiful voice. He clearly is destined for super-stardom!

FRANKENSTEIN WOULD LOVE GOLDFRAPP'S LOVELY HEAD!!!

I would pass Goldfrapp a million times in the record store, laughing at how ridiculous her names sounded, until I began to read the almost flawless reviews on "Felt Mountain" and decided to get it. Despite my opinion of the lady's name, there is nothing ridiculous sounding about her music! Truly cinematic torch-light singing at its best, Allison Goldfrapp's style is reminiscent of some old 1940s singer crooning over the man that "done left her." Sometimes melancholy with a whole lot of heart and soul, Goldfrapp creates a autumnal landscape of unique sounds that play with the emotions, and are as warm and welcome as that favorite blanket of yours on a cold winter's night. Every song on "Felt Mountain" oozes with sultriness and sophistication. If you have the CD and love it like I do, I don't have to tell you this at all. But if you don't own "Felt Mountain", then you might want to consider adding it to your collection. Sure to impress those nouveau-riche friends of yours.
