Well, I was expecting more ??!!

Hmmmmmmm, now lets see, first of all, I have listened to the album so many times cause I kinda have it about a week before its official release date, so this is NOT a premature opinion...
The album would be a great debut album by a new artist but definately NOT for MICHAEL JACSKON, I've come to conclude that a lot of money and and time was spent on this album, but I guess MJ was postponing the release and making changes frequently to the track listing (cause as we all probably know, he records like a zillion songs then chooses from them) caue he WASN'T so content with the songs after all.
Well the album DO HAVE some standouts, my most favorite would be Unbreakable, Privacy (which is probably my absolute favorite) and some slow accapella anthems like Speechless and Break Of Dawn but still THE ALBUM LACKS THE FAST AGGRESSIVE MICHAEL JACKSON TRADE MARK SONGS that we all got used to... Their is no "Smooth Criminal" on this album, no "beat it" on this album, no "Dirty Diana", no "Who is it", no "Dangerous" and no "They Don't care about us", does this say enough...
Ok then why the 4 stars, for many reasons, first of all HE IS MICHAEL JACKSON, secondly, MJ has always had many sounds and styles and I guess the R&B side fans of MJ will be so much happy with this album.. Its just too "Off The Wall"ISH for me if you know what I mean, and lastly some songs on their definately would boost it to this position like my above recomendations and lets not forget about "The Lost chidren" and "Whatever Happens" with Carlos Sanatan also deserves a listen... The rest are mostly fillers to my ears...
Hope this was helpful.......

Prime Acoustic Bruce - ****1/2

Bruce Springsteen seems to have two personas: there's "The Boss", leader of the venerable E Street Band, and then there's just-plain-Bruce, hero of the downtrodden, chronicler of the disenfranchised. This CD comes from the latter Springsteen, and it joins "Nebraska" and "Ghost of Tom Joad" as examples of his more acoustic, downbeat side. . My impression, before the newness of it has worn off, is that it's one of his very best efforts, surpassing "Joad", at least the equal of "Nebraska", and even on a par with his best rock albums. The title track, an allegorical take on the Iraqi War, is a haunting opening tune. The album is rich with character portraits, and contains some of the best songwriting he's ever done. There are some pretty somber numbers, like "The Hitter", and "Reno", the adult-themed song about a guy who hooks up with a prostitute while yearning for a lost love. But there are some excellent upbeat tunes as well, almost up to E-Street energy level, including "All the Way Home", "Long Time Comin'", and "Maria's Bed". In a way, it's even more satisfying than his last "comeback" effort, "The Rising". The technology of the dual-disc, however, may frustrate some buyers, as the audio CD side is not compatible with all CD players. The DVD side contains a Dolby 5.1 mix of the album (which I didn't find a huge improvement over the regular audio side), and five videos of alternate "solo" versions of songs from the album (though some background accompaniment sneaks in), with commentary by the artist. Time will tell if it becomes regarded as one of his very best albums, or just an underappreciated gem. One thing is sure, though - it's one of the best releases so far this year.

Can you believe it?

Verve does it again. That this volume is even BETTER than the previous one. Check out "Sinnerman" if you don't believe me. And don't forget "Unmixed" for all you purists out there!
