My, How Our Little Britney Has Grown . . .

When Britney Spears said that her third album would be more mature than her first two, she wasn't kidding. She really steps it up a notch in this third album which, appropriately enough, is entitled "Britney."
Here are a few key highlights concerning this CD:
1) Britney co-wrote 5 of the 12 songs on the CD.2) This CD is enhanced, so when you pop it into your little hard drive, a screen comes up that contains an exclusive video to the song, "Overprotected." This music video also contains outtakes from the upcoming movie she is starring in early next year.3) There is a pull-out poster in the little booklet that comes in the CD case. One side is of Britney, and the other side is like a mini-poster with many screen shots from the upcoming movie she is starring in early next year.
So what did I like about this CD? As it pertains to effort, you can't deny it that. Britney Spears is certainly trying in the songs she helped to write, and you can't fault her for lack of effort. She serves up some fresh twists, and maybe once I listen to the CD for the second time, I'll come to get a better feel for them. As it pertains to the songs, track number 4 ("I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman") seems to be my favorite track on the album right now. It's the only song that resembles a ballad on the track, as most everything else is very much more pop/R&B like.
Britney also uses a few choice words in a few of her songs. This is nothing new for music artists, but coming from our little Britney, it is kind of surprising! But she warned us that the third album is definitely more grown up than the first two, and she wasn't kidding.
Overall, I thought this CD was pretty good. I've only listened to it one time, so I haven't exactly gotten the feel for it yet. It takes a little while for things to grow on me, and I'm sure this new adult-Britney style will catch on soon enough.

Title: John Berry - Greatest Hits
Label: Capitol
Artist: John Berry

Well, it's the greatest but...

I like John Berry's music very much. I bought the Greatest Hits and yes, every song is a big hit with me but..I wish there were more songs on the ablum. There are only 12 songs on the album and even if those 12 were his only greatest with Capitol records, maybe a few new songs thrown in would have been nice as the trend seems to be with GH albums but overall, what was put on the album, was a nice treat to us John Berry fans. The duet with Wynonna was a smart move!

1. Crazy in Love-too much Radio Play, but on the whole a great song to start the cd off with, and a club hit, good to dance to.
2. Naughty Girl-one of my favorites!!! I love how she mixes old and new school for something original and sexy.
3. Baby Boy-probably my least favorite song, but it's not bad, just typical radio friendly song.
4. Hip Hop Star- OutKast always brings something fresh to a song, and it's a song like no one has ever heard before which is refreshing, very HOTTTTT
5.Be With You-it's ok, nothing too memorable for me but not a bad song
6.Me, Myself and I-you gotta listen to this one, and once you do, you can appreciate B as a real lyricist and great songwriter.
7.Yes-once again another example of good storytelling through songs, something that DC and now solo Beyonce will come to be known for
8.Signs-Missy mixes it with her newly signature "rewind"-but it's a hot song anyway, missy and B make a good songwriting pair.
9.Speechless-my ABSOLUTE favorite song on this leaves you speechless, Beyonce realizes less is more sometimes
10.That's how you like it-tribute to coupledom for B and Jay, cute.
11. Closer...-tribute to old school and bringin Luther!! Beyonce, I didn't know you had it like that!
12. Dangerously..-from the Survivor album but stands out on this one as well as the title track and onrunning theme throughout the cd.
13. Gift from Virgo-in case you didn't get it...she's in love!!!
14. Daddy-I cried, simple as that...
Overall a great album to chill to, not necessarily one to dance to but a fabulous cd none the less.

as beautiful as everyone else said

In contrast to Enigma, this one is sweeter, and a smidgen less dark. Delirium, like Enigma, blends synth and techno with chant to create an exquisite sound. Most of the other vocals on the CD are female, with a celestial tone. I love this album. I turn it on when I'm in the mood to dream or dance.
