Title: Michael Bolton - Greatest Hits 1985-1995
Label: Sony
Artist: Michael Bolton
Rating: 4/5
Customer rating - 4 out of 5

During the 1990's, there remained very few contemporary singers in the music industry. Sadly, most of the artists that dressed too sexy on the inside, like the Playboy posing Britney Spears, and Pop acts like Nsync. However, there are some artists that really let the music sell for itself. In the case of Michael Bolton, he stated that fact that still shows on since his image change early in his music career.
His Greatest Hits 1985-1995, is truly a magnificent collection of 17 classic Bolton tracks that still state the mighty Michael Bolton's popularity. The album consists of 12 of Bolton's biggest hits including Time, Love And Tenderness, How Am I Suppose To Live Without You, and Soul Provider. The collection also has five other great songs, including Can I Touch You There?, and a cover of Cher's mega-hit, I Found Someone.
For this collection, of Greatest Hits, it follows as a good companion album, with Michael Bolton's 2001 Love Songs collection. Nevertheless, many people may not like this album, even though I like it a whole. Only time will really tell if people still think of Michael Bolton as a very significant soul singer.

Long time Bowie Fan

I have been a Bowie fan since 1972 and he still remains my favorite Rocker of all time. But this CD is horrible!! No emotion, poor writing and NO songs that "Reach out and grab ya". It's obvious Bowie has run out of material after 25 studio albums. Bowie seems to be writing for the young bubble gum pop music listeners. Lets hope that his next record is for all his long time loyal fans.. This is a sellout. You want to hear a great recording that spotlights his piano player Mike Garson, listen to Aladdin Sane. This record will help you forget how BAD Reality real is.. Sorry David, but truth sometimes hurts.

Painful Joy!

I once read that Cosme McMoon, Florence Foster Jenkins' accompanist, played from behind a screen. He had a reputation to protect, perhaps. Or perhaps Ms. Jenkins did not want to share the "glory" Once you hear Ms. Jenkins sing it, you will never hear the Queen of the Night aria the same way again.
The other treat on this CD is Thomas Burns singing his own translation of arias from the opera "Faust." In a perfect imitation of Elmer Fudd, his vocalizing of the phrase, "Oh, Margarita!" will ring in my ears forever, along the unfortunate harmony my tinitus offers.
Of course, the greatest thing of all is to play this to a group of listeners and observe the one that doesn't hear the beauty.
