Not good Not bad.

This Cd has remixes that changed completly the original version
and some are only a detail.

1.Love Don't cost a thing(RJ Schoolyard Remix)-Same exept this
is electro stuff the original had a wacko trumpet.

2.Ain't it funny(Murder Remix)-Better than the original remix)

3.Im gonna be alright(Track master Remix)-Best remix and I like
the music video.

4.Im Real(Murder Remix)-I like this song I did't like all the cuss words
and much better than the original the original version gets
on my nerves and is so childish.

5.Walking On Sunshine(Metro Remix)-Both Remix and original are

6.If you had my love(Dark Child Remix)-Good but Stupid Rap.

7.Feelin So good(Bad Boy remix)-I always hated that song.

8.Lets get Loud(Pablo Flores Remix)-As korny as original version.

9.Play(Sack International Mix)-Weirdo Song.

10.Waiting for tonight(Hex Hector's Remix)-The remix is stupid
is sounds the same only because it has an echo instead of the ooh.

11.Alive-Pretty Song But video has more beat to it.

Everybody comes to BUY Hollywood

When American Life (the song, not the album) was released over the airwaves early last year, I remember thinking "What the Hell?" This was the first time I've reacted that way to one of Madonna's songs. In retrospect, that's a good thing. If there is one thing I've discovered about Madonna's music, it's the more criticism it receives, be it from fans or foes, the more I seem to like it. Not for the sake of it, of course, it's coincedence. American life has been accused over and over again of lacking emotion, being boring (oh, a PSB reference, huh), lacking real commitment from the artist, and the list goes on and on. I remember my initial reaction to the album being, "this has so much guitar" and "these lyrics are corny."
WIth that said I love this album. It has (very very slowly)grown on me.
Hollywood, the second, or is it the third (die another day, I suppose, was a release from this album as well) single? I don't know. Anyways, it wasn't one of my favourites. The remixes, however, are fabulous. This album has wonderful mixes, each single! Hollywood is no exception! First of all, I love the cover art, from the photo shoot for W magazine. I love electro music! Jacques du Cont's thin white duck mix is my favourite by far, even before the mix was used with Britney at the VMA's.
I love how Madonna is working with these "electro" (for lack of a better or more concise term) artists like Felix da housecat, Jacques du cont, Mirwais, and Mount Sims.
It's a good single. Madonna's singles are usually a hit. I think they have been since Deeper and Deeper and Erotica. That's when they stopped being mere Extended Dance Mixes. Yuck.
BTW Is there a remix project in the works? The local clubs keep playing Ralphi Rosario's mix of Erotica, but I can't find out where it's coming from. I've been told by others it's Ralphi, anyhow, and several webstites seem to confirm he has messed with the song. Arrrrr I want it!

Great Noir Sound from David Sanborn

Nice country-tinged noir CD from the accomplished saxophonist David Sanborn. Sanborn's other albums are a bit too "poppy" for me, but he is totally on point here. He plays the heck out of his horn and inspires some excellent solos from the session musicians as well.

Good Clean Fun

It's about time the TRL audience started to get into the more electro-derived pop that Kylie gives in this, her eighth album, I think. Though the lyrics are pretty vacant and the album has no real staying power (it's really good at first, by slowly declines; after less than a year you'll probably be ready to part with this one) most of the music is very good. This album is a good idea of the best work we can ever hope to get out of mindless TRL...
