THE BEST PRODUCED POST BEATLES ALBUM

People say that Double Fantasy is Lennon's best solo album. Not so. It's Walls and Bridges. It's the only album recorded with no Yoko, both figuratively and literally. Many songs are about her, but not in the same "I'm so devoted to you, my dragon-lady mistress" way familiar from Mind Games, but in a darker, deeper way that gives us a better look at their relationship. All of the songs are marvellous (even Steel and Glass, most likely a savage attack on Allen Klein, is a marked improvement over How Do You Sleep), with Nobody Loves When You're Down and Out being one of the central achievements of Lennon in the seventies.

Christina doesn't disappoint with this CD...

I waited over three years for this unhumanly talented girl's next full length album. Now, finally, today it came - and I bought it as soon as I got over to the store. I kind of didn't know what to expect! it's awesome though! .. quite a variety of songs. rocked out ones, r&b ones - Christina never seems to stay in one territory but no matter what the case, she has the best voice of all singers out there. I recommend this CD to ANYONE. Might I add Christina wrote all these songs, so nobody can have THAT against her anymore...

MASTERWORK FOR THE AGES

David Sylvian is an artist who actually deserves the title artist. The album "Secrets Of The Beehive" showcases the massive depth of Sylvian's talent for all to listen in amazement. His songs are worlds unto themselves, full of imagery and gorgeous textures that weave effortlessly together, one awe-inspiring image after another. Sylvian's music is as dense and atmospheric as a rain-forest overlooking the ocean. His lyrics take root in your soul and only fully reveal their many meanings with repeated listening. He is a poet's poet, a musician's musician. Find a quiet afternoon, put on Secrets Of The Beehive and as evening turns to night, your mind will have been cleansed, and maybe you will even know yourself a little better.
