Refreshing and Renewing!!

This CD has been a welcome diversion from America's recent troubles. The beautiful and soothing "Peace" (co-written with Beth Nielsen Chapman) gives me goosebumps. There are only two or three standards here, which are covered very nicely; the rest are Michael's originals (with the help of some very talented collaborators). Michael has always been a talented singer and songwriter, but he's never been more heartfelt and soulful than here, where he's singing to and about the Lord. Just a little piece of heaven here on earth.

Pretty darn good!

Now this is quite the little jem. There are some really outstanding tracks on this CD. Only one or two songs suffer from being too boring. But that pales when compared to the amount of great songs on here. The production quality done here is quite exceptional. Being one half from Delerium, you can defiantly here some of that signature sound here, which is a good thing! I do recommend this CD for all of you who are interested in this genre.

Seeking Solace in Her Previous Albums

I am a Shakira fan. So my opinion may not be very objective. I like the CD, overall has a lot of good songs, and I admire the fact that she wrote/arranged most of them, her English is quite good too. I will go thru the songs now: "Objection" is very original, good arrengements. "Whenever, Wherever" is for sure the promo of this CD. "Ready for the good times" is a good disco fantasy. "Eyes like yours" is a disappointment. I agree with the prior review that this CD hardly match her Spanish work, however I am confident it will get her noticed. Overall is a B+.

Very Nice Score

...and I don't want to enter a flame war over said honesty, but I don't really care too much for John Williams. I enjoyed the score for Jaws, Indiana Jones, and a few other of his films, but for the most part - his work, to me, is forgettable. I don't know why, it just doesn't seem to hold it's own.
Anyhow, even though I don't keep up with his work too well, I do plan to pick up the score to A.I. The thing was bloody expensive at our local Sam Goody store, so I'll probably end up getting it via
The score was well paced, and the placement was spot-on. Part of the magic of composition is not only writing the score, but how you place it in the film. Williams is good at that, and it shows. The film, over all, is quite forgettable. The plot was very childish, and I think that, somehow, Kubrick's original idea was much darker and probably a bit rawer.
The action music in the film was wonderful, and the emotional pieces were tear jerking. The music played when David first arrives at the home and is following his `mommy' around all over the place was creepy, and it caused David to give me a very odd vibe.
It's worth a listen, and worth the price here on
