Music to my ears. AWESOME

There are not enough words to describe how great this album is. Clay has just proven that you do not need a title to be successful. My girls and I listen to it everyday and enjoy every song on it. I listen in the car on the way to work, I listen to it all day at work, on the way home from work and never get tired of hearing Clay's voice. Why buy one CD when you can buy three and keep them at every location and that is exactly what I did. Now all we need is the music videos to watch along with these songs. CLAY IS NUMBER#1 IN OUR HOME. Class act person.

Title: One World
Label: RCA
Artist: John Denver
Rating: 5/5

My favorite ever!

John's gift to the world of music under his RCA label came to a close with the release of this album- and sadly so. Here we find the seasoned songwriter and performer again on the top of his game. After releasing "Dreamland Express", an experimental album with a different feel than the ordinary Dever we all have come to love, John crafted "One World" to be among his finest. The album opens with "Love is the Master", an uplifting, upbeat, and most certain John Denver classic. As the album continues, we see the softer, honest John Denver in "Love Again", the open minded optimist in "It's a Possibility", the socially aware in "Let Us Begin" (watch out Mr. Dylan, John makes some brilliant moves with this strong dialogue between a world divided). This album showcases John's incredible scope as an artist, writer, and performer in the beauty, and grace you'd expect only from him. "Flying for Me" alone will give this album 5 stars... put it on your wish list you won't dissapointed!

Title: One Heart

Celine's Been Driving All Night

It has only been one year since we last got an album from Celine Dion. She seems to be pumping these out like a factory. Granted, I am sure Chrysler has helped a lot, considering Chrysler's logo is blatantly on the CD Tray's art. Regardless of the sponsorship, perfume, show in Vegas, it's a nice package. I like how it is upbeat and less dramatic like her previous CDS. She is on top of the world right now and deservedly so. She's a good clean, moral individual. Puts her son first, works her hardest and delivers the goods. I am proud of her because her talent is not being wasted. She is capturing the moment, which isn't something you see Whitney Houston doing. Whitney's capturing something all right and putting it up her nose. At least with Celine, you can be proud to buy her music.

Emancipate away, Mariah!!!!!!

When I first heard Mariah was on the verge of releasing this album, I felt a little nervous. While I simply adore her and think that she has one of the best voices around today, I was expecting to be disappointed with the outcome of the album. Then I pressed play: I have to say I was more than impressed I was astonished. Mariah had been able to turn herself around and
emancipate herself from her last few disappointing albums....the voice is back. While she has managed to adapt to the sounds and images of today, she manages to hold onto her roots, which is very impressing, considering the fact that not many people can migrate from decade to decade while still holding on to their fanbase while adding to it simultaneously. Here is my breakdown of the album:

1. It's Like That: Great first single however, Jermaine Dupri is a little to prevalent in the song. Very catchy up tempo beat, and Mariah looks hot in the video! 5/5

2. We Belong Together: One of the most beautiful songs she has ever written. Chilling to the bone her voice is sort of haunting in this one. Very glad that it is a single. I can only imagine the remixes. 10/5

3. Shake It Off: Not one of my favorites of the album, although it has a good beat. 2/5

4. Mine Again: Very beautiful ballad. Reminds me of Vision of Love in a strange way. Still, Mariah flies solo in this one, so it's a very beautiful song. 4/5

5. Say Somethin': Snoop and Mimi reunite!!! I loved Crybaby, and their chemistry is great in this song as well. Very well put together. Sort of has a 70's vibe to it. 5/5

6. Stay the Night: Very catchy lyrics. The song gets stuck in your head, but that's not a bad thing. I love the melody on this one. 4/5

7. Get Your Number: For some reason I haven't been able to take a liking to this song. I can't put my finger on it. Not one of my favorites on the album. Maybe it's JD again :(. 2/5

8. One and Only: I didn't really care for this song either. It's a slower song, but it doesn't excite me. Maybe it's because she's rapping in this one. 2/5

9. Circles: I enjoy this one. It has an "Underneath the Stars" feel to it. Very catchy and it flows very nicely. Mariah's voice shines nicely in this one. 4/5

10. Your Girl: One of my favorite songs on the album. It carries a 70'sesque vibe with it very charming and catchy. I blast this one in my car frequently :) 8/5

11. I Wish You Knew: Starts off like "Yours", but sounds very-gospel like. Very nice ballad. 3/5

12 To the Floor: I have a feeling that this will be the next single. It's very catchy and up beat. An excellent club song in my opinion with a great potential for some awesome remixes. 4/5

13 Joy Ride: Yet another one of Mariah's beautiful ballads. Her voice carries the song so beautifully. I get goosebumps. 4/5

14. Fly Like A Bird. Mariah's signature gospel ballad. Very empowering and beautiful song. I like this one a lot. Especially the message it evokes. 5/5

With that said, this album is a substantial improvement over her last few works. I think Mariah realized what worked for her as well as her fans, and she went with it. Her voice truly shines in songs she sings herself, but her collaborations have something to be said for themselves as well. This is a terrific album if you are a die-hard MC fan. You will not be disappointed. I am accepting her emancipation with "Open Arms." :)
