Where to start?!

This is the greatest jazz CD ever! Period.
At least, that's what everyone seems to say. I disagree - the album is a true masterpiece; but SO ARE OTHERS. That seems to be constantly discounted. Giant Steps by Coltrane is equally impressive, and some of Sonny Rollins stuff i prefer over this.
HOWEVER
This CD is actually a sort of milestone - true improvisation. Just for that reason, you ought to check it out. I mean, there are plenty of great jazz CDs - was this one mixed, remixed, redone, and completed after 15 sessions? NO!!!
this amazing album is amazing BECAUSE it is so spontaneous. You can almost feel the artists think up the notes as they play, with only Miles' sketches to work with it. Especially with Coltrane's sax solos. AMAZING.
SO - to sum it up: An AMAZING JAZZ ALBUM. the greatest jazz album of all time? perhaps. My favorite? Not really...
BUT - so many people like it - go buy it. This CD is one of those u can have and brag about how much u love it - its a classic. In the true sense of the word.

The best Harry Potter Soundtrack yet!!!!!!

John Williams does it again this time, but better than ever. This is without a doubt the best Harry Potter soundtrack so far. Just like the third movie installment, the soundtrack also has a change in style, but familiar compositions such as "Hedwig's Theme" can still be heard. The music is beautiful and well-orchestrated. One song in particular, "A Window to the Past", proves that a song doesn't need a complicated score to be beautiful. The soundtrack ends with the last track, "Mischief Managed!", a medley of all the songs on the soundtrack.

An Enchanting CD

I purchased this CD in 1999, and I'm still in awe of over just how great this CD is.
Each song on this cd, is unique, and utterly amazing for a woman that is 54 and still makes continious hits. My only complaint is that Cher's remix of "We All Sleep Alone," is a bit of disappointment. But all around, it's a must have CD, and I give it a four star rating.

David Please Make Another CD Like This One

I have had this CD for 12 years (one of my first) and I would have to say the best. I love every song on this CD; it's a great CD to pop in after a long day at the office, or for a nice dinner. My only wish is that Mr. Foster would make another one; his other CD's just don't stack up to this great piece of work.
