Not indicative of the movie

I'll have to disagree with the CD review as well. I like Geri Haliwell's rendition of "It's Raining Men." It's very upbeat and the video is even more fun. The other tracks are all very good. I saw the movie on opening weekend and really thought that the songs did a good job of portraying Bridget's mindset throughout the plot.

Title: Stay Out of the Kitchen

Stacks and stacks of Stax

Where I do agree with the reviewer above that Stax didn't give Mable John the material she deserved, I differ in preferring her slower tracks. Pieces like "I'm a big girl now" and especially Otis' "I love you more than words can say" really showcase Mable's ability to push emotions, and the experience beneath, across. On the same lines "Able Mable" (a different version than the one Stax released as a single) and "Have your cake" suceed in a big way, expertly conveying the feelings of a woman done wrong. Mable is definitely able to put some soul in you life.

Fat of the Land

I first heard Prodigy in Chicago last year. My buddy and I were going to see Meat Beat Manifesto and we arrivied late. We saw Prodigy. That was the loudest, heaviest, head banging music I have ever heard. My ears were ringing for daze! I loved it! I just recently bought the cd because I have not been getting enough techno in my diet. I bought several cd's and Fat of the Land is by far the deepest bass that will rock your neighborhood. Turn it up and your friends will hear you coming from miles away! I've been told that this music kills more brain cells then mushrooms but has less calories than a Guniess!

Tight!!!

Little Bruce's first solo album "XXXtra Manish" is nothing short of slammin'! His rapping style is rough and hard core. Even better, arehis beats. Beats like "Mobbin' My Oldschool," "Raw Deal," "Foot Locka Crew," and more are some of the best of any beats from Sick Wid It Records. They are hard hitting, and they are ones you can lowride and hit switches to. They have a touch of old school feel to them. Even though it's hardcore, it's fun to listen to. It's a shame he was not as successful as E-40, B-Legit, Celly Cel, and the others.
