GEORGE ONLY GETS BETTER :)

About four years ago, while trying to decide what music to take with us for a long ride down Highway 1, my friend suggested we take my old "Faith" album by George Michael. "Why do you want to take that?" I asked. "It's got to be over ten years old." Giving me a quizical look, my friend replied "Because it's good." He was absolutely right. Today, I am still shocked by how much I like George Michael's music. While my music tastes are eclectic and change often, his music is the only constant in my life. His music goes with me whether I am in my room, the car, or even on vacation. And while some of his albums are over a decade old, they are -- and always will be -- timeless. And when one combines the fact thatGeorge Michael writes, sings and produces all of his songs -- one has to realize how rare and special that is. So many artsts today cannot play an instrument, write, (and in many cases) -- sing. Not true for Geroge Michael however. He is the genuine product. So for all of you who have never listened to his music or only have one of his albums, my advice to you is -- get this CD

Wonderful blend of traditional and new yuletide selections.

I am not a country purist, but this C.D. is my favourite Christmas one for several reasons. Murphey has chosen a wonderful combination of some traditional and some unfamiliar tunes. I especially love the Texas swing flavor and the lovely balladic quality of some songs.

Brilliant

I have never heard Beethoven played with such verve and excitement. While the Karajan and Furtwangler Beethoven symphonies are majestic and stately, like a top-of-the-line Mercedes Benz, Gardiner's purrs, roars and sings like a Porsche.
The Third simply rocks. It's as if Gardiner re-interpreted the young Beethoven as the enfant terrible his contemporaries took him for. The fifth, particularly in the transition from the third to fourth movements, conrtains everything anyone needs to know about music.
Gardiner finds awe in thr Pastoral, mischievous humour in the seventh. And the ninth, shorn of a century of German romantic bombast, sounds like the revolutionary anthem Beethoven likely intended.
The problem with Beethoven symphonies, though, is that you have to listen to several interpretations to really appreciate the transcendent Genius of Beethoven.
Get this one. Byut get Furtwangler's and Karajan's first set as well.

This is a wonderful "grown-up" David Cassidy Album. I have loved David since I was a young girl and listening to this cd just makes me feel good inside. The new version of I think I love you is fantastic and he has alot of new songs that as the other reviewer said will get stuck in your head for days! I saw David in Vegas "at the copa" and it was GREAT!
