Title: Synkronized
Label: Sony
Artist: Jamiroquai
Rating: 5/5
Customer rating - 5 out of 5

I was surprised to read all the negative comments here about how people thought disco was dead. The fact is, if you don't like disco, don't listen to Jamiroquai! Disco did not die in the 70's. There are still plenty of disco fans out there, myself included. Travelling Without Moving may be a little better than this album, but Synkronized still rocks. "Canned Heat" and "Supersonic" are awesome. I never get tired of this CD. Jamiroquai fans who were disappointed in this album, I don't know what to tell you. This is a great album.

Title: Poet: Romance for Cello
Label: Elektra
Artist: Michael Hoppe
Rating: 2/5

The music lacked depth, emotion and passion

I have two of Michael Hoppe's albums: The Dreamer and The Yearning. I absolutely love both of these albums, and I was sure they could not be topped until I heard The Poet at a friend's home one afternoon. I was so blown away by the feelings that his music created, I had to ask my friend to turn it off until I could compose myself. It reaches the depths of your emotions and brings them immediately to the surface. There is no escape!

Title: Crescent
Label: Grp Records
Artist: John Coltrane
Rating: 5/5
Customer rating - 5 out of 5
An unsung classic, one of my favorites.

I don't know why, but this cd, much like "Coltrane's Sound" seems to be less acknowledged than his most famous sessions. Yet, this is a remarkably powerful and beautiful album, especially the first two tracks and the song "Lonnie's Lament", a 12 minute late-night low-light song. The title track is a classic as is "Wise One", which was supposedly written by John for his wife-much like "Naima" from Giant Steps. I guess the word that describes this whole album is sublime-every jazz fan should own this. Essential.

If you like this one, then you'll love.....

Always a fan of any Grisman mandolin work. Always a fan of Jerrys sweet, homey, sometimes sloppy, but always pretty style. This album is great. Nice to leave the little glitches in, it shows that these guys were in it for the playing and not for the fancy polished gloss that often makes modern recordings of folk music unlistenable. I wish it were a double album.
