Hilarious!

This is the funniest show I've ever seen! And The CD's Not Bad Either. If this CD doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what will! The only downside to the CD is that it doesn't have all the funny moments that are captured within the book. Like when Reverend Mother get's high... oops. I may spoil it for you. TWO THUMBS WAY UP. C'mon Support the nuns that still wear a habit!

NOTHIN LIKE IT!

White Ladder is a masterpiece that everyone one should own, its one pf those records that tells the story of love and everday common life. The firsr track "Please Forgive Me" is a folky love song backed up with urban(techo) beats, and acoustic guitar, and lyrically it is a typical gray song. every song on album is brilliant beyond anything that is out there now. "sail away'' is one of these 11 songs that sends the listener to a walk on the beach with their lover, and as the song plays the image becomes more passionaite and the depths of the song create song a true image you will definetly find yourself reflecting a past memory about luv. well, the rest of the songs are masterpieces in their own right, and the last song ''say hello, wave goodbye is way for mr. gray to say goodbye to the old traditon he started and move with a more expertimenatall sound. well if you like dylan and you like the chemicial brothers this album is a formula of both plus with element of early van morrision! cheers

Bread Alone

Better than most Bread albums, this was more consistent and actually contained some pleasant surprises. Yeah, his music was never cutting edge but it seems a shame to dismiss it as soft rock/middle of the road dreck. True, a lot of the '70s "MOR" stuff hasn't aged well but generally, this has. Much of that is a tribute to Gate's strong sense of melody and (as one of the previous reviewers points out) the musicianship on this outing. He's in top form in both departments here. "Clouds" (one of those pleasant surprises) still knocks me out. However, there are still uneven moments and occasionally the lyrics seem forced. Nevertheless, there is much to recommend "First" -- especially if you liked Gates' finer contributions to Bread.

Great Recording

This recording is phenomenal. Great for late night smoking, shrooming, or just chilling with friends. A must for all true Tortoise fans. But be prepared: It's mellow...
