Nothing here for people under 40

I bought this album based on reviews over the weekend pre-release. Honestly, I find it very boring and simple. The melodies repeat over and over and have nothing interesting about them. Maybe if you were a Bruce Springsteen fan from the "glory days", you can find some nostalgic connection with this stuff, but if you are into modern music you will find it very tedious to listen to.

would like to rate this more than 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote on this album acouple of days after it was released and gave it 5 stars. i really did not like the demo's except for MEASURE OF A MAN. I bought it because after all it was 'CLAY' and played it acouple of times and now cannot play anything else. I can't remember the last time i bought a cd and enjoyed almost all of the songs on it. TOUCH is my least favorite but it is growing on me. I loved it after playing it acouple of times but now i wish i really could rate it more stars as it's the first cd that makes me feel so happy and gets me singing along. For his first cd, i think its great. THE WAY is my personal favorite, The end is so powerful with CLAY'S voice. If you are thinking songs from al2, then this is not the cd for you, BUT if you want a cd that has you singing along in no time and lifts your spirits on a bad day, then i recomend this cd. It is wonderful!!! I will buy anything this young man puts out.

Title: My Love Is Your Love
Label: Arista
Artist: Whitney Houston

A disappointing compromise from an artist above her material

Overall, My Love Is Your Love is fantastic! It definitely proves that Whitney is a Diva of diversity! She can sing anything. My picks are Oh Yes (quite sexy) and Until You Come Back (takes me back to her debut). She is still in a class by herself and shining star in the eyes of millions. Unfortunately, too much effort was channeled to crossing over! As for her overrated duet with Mariah it needs some help. Mariah's voice clearly cracks too much. Whitney could of done the entire project by herself! So, for those of you dissapointed that she's not crooning cheer up! Change is good. It will grow on you and that's good music! Remember the music industry is now dominated by hip-hop and r&b, not ballads. Soon she will have to Bow Out gracefully!

Bringing out the best in The Boss!

"The River" is an album for every Springsteen fan. While it may not adhere to the epic content of "Born to Run," it is by far my favorite of his albums. It has a bit of fun-time music like "Cadillac Ranch" for the rockers, classic blue-collar ballads like "Point Blank," and Springsteen genius like "The River." This is an album you can dance to, drive to and sit back and smoke to. It makes you want to sit with the lights off in a dim room, drink a beer, and smoke a cigarette. Woe to the fool who interrupts you. Or maybe you'll just get in the car and drive, drive, drive, letting The Boss take you away. While many may not recognize the value of Springsteen's balladic hits off albums such as "Nebraska" and "The Ghost of Tom Joad," one has to accept the calm intensity of "The River." He weaves these simple hits into the album as if to warn the rockers of the real reason he's making music. Time has shown us that not everyone can feel the glory of his reality. Those of us who can value the simplicity and rebelliousness of smoking a cigarette will remain true fans of the true spirit of "The River." "..her body tan and wet down at the reservoir..." .....it's a haunting way of making music.
