This CD's Great!

I knew Craig David was a hit with 7 days and Walking Away, But I hear this CD the day I get it and it's a Smash. When David come's to the States, I am getting tickets. The remixes are excellent. I enjoyed the whole CD. This is my kind of music. Mr. David you read this...Keep it up if you are born to do it again, then do it again, again...and AGAIN!

A satisfyingly complex piece of work

Just two minutes into the first track, "Enchanted," I was already transported into a different state of mind. The haunting vocals literally gave me chills, and is easily one of the best tracks on the CD. The songs on KARMA are seductive and spellbinding, and the collaborations are just simply remarkable. For all the random investments I make in purchasing music, this is by far the best. Buy this CD, and let it seduce you to a different world.

Title: As Time Goes By...The Great American Songbook: Volume II
Label: J-Records
Artist: Rod Stewart

Rod isn't the best for standards, cher is

Rod Stewarts thin aging voice has some resonance, but fails to have the support to give these standards the body they deserve. This is all put aside when Cher does her thing on "Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered". Cher shows color strength and depth, and Rod compliments her on that one.Queen Latifah does a good job as well. The duets are the high point on the cd.Let's hear Cher do her standard cd. She's a perfect american stylist.Brits are wonderful but sing standards with less authenticity!

A New Beginning

I have waited, and waited, and waited for this album, and I was not disappointed!! I was very worried that this album was going to be a "comeback" album, which would try so hard to be current that it would sacrifice it's musical integrity. On the contrary, while tracks such as "You Rock my World", "Unbreakable", and "Heartbreaker", bring back memories of older Michael Jackson efforts, the albums brilliant production team has filled these songs with all the subtle nuances of sound that makes Michael Jackson's music so much more interesting. The Ballad's in this album echo the mid-tempo R&B of this era, song's like "Butterflies", and "Cry" are similar enough to draw in anyone who enjoys modern R&B, yet always distinct enough to be Michael Jackson. The great surprise for me on this album was songs like "Speechless", and "The Lost Children". These songs may take a while for some to get used to, but they have beautiful melodies, and are great for singing along to. It is wonderful to see that Michael has in no way "sold" his passions for social awareness in order to remain "current". The only disappointment is that there were so many songs and producers that worked on this ablum, and we haven't heard from them yet. Invincible II? All in all, if your a Jackson fan, get this album!!!...
