Very Impressive

You always hear about the sophmore slump and the second CD after a big first one will define that persons career....Well John Mayer has established himself as a star that is here to stay. He has really matured and all of his new songs are more instrumental, and has a more mature sound to it...This is an awsome CD...Way to go John!

Coltrane Quartet great in spite of Sanders

I bought the original 2LP set when it came out in 1971 or 1972 and was waiting to get the CD. It was great hearing Body and Soul and Afro Blue on this CD set. Coltrane is incredible. No matter what he is playing, it always works. I wish that I could say the same for Pharoah Sanders. He's not my taste at this stage in his career. I liked him later on his solo albums, but with Coltrane he's not at the same level musically as the rest of the quartet, in my opinion. Often, Coltrane creates a mood in his solo, only to have Sanders completely destroy it in his solo, in my opinion. I didn't think that Sanders was listening to what the rest of the quartet was playing. In spite of Sanders, the CD is still a must have as long as the Classic Coltrane Quartet is playing.

Can't live without it

If you could only have 2 obscure Duran Duran B-side albums, you should choose this one and Big Thing. Listen to Big Thing's B side in the dark, and listen to this one in the wintertime. "Winter Marches On" has incredible depth and texture.
