adore the pumpkins!

Though I don't love it, I can't say I hate it, cuz I don't. And I could never hate something the pumpkins did. there is no bad pumpkin song. But people, I must confess, siamese dream was definitely their best--it's heartfelt like this album, and rocks like MCIS. I'm really happy that jimmy's gonna be back w/ the band, though. No offense, mr. drum machine, but jimmy kicks a**! I think the new album comes out in february. Best songs on this cd: perfect, once upon a time, tear, pug, and shame.

Title: In The Zone
Label: Jive
Artist: Britney Spears
Rating: 3/5

Oh Brit . . . we didn't expect much and you delivered!

The summary . . . well, it's just okay. The whole Madonna/ Britney duet (Me Against The Music - track 1) was total bogus. In my opinion, a bad move for Madge, but hey, they both needed a little attention and they got it . . . next.
She has her staple song - 2 - I Got That (Boom, Boom)- with the hip hop yelling and whooping throughout the track. It IS cute how Britney addresses the "Southern Boys" at the very beginning, remembering her roots.
Tracks 3-6 are boring. 7 is pretty good -- good beat, sexy, typical. 8 is the "masturbation" song. I guess this is a staple in every young girl's career. I really don't see the relevance to these statement/songs. When did it become okay and acceptable to sing about this stuff?
9 - The Hook Up - has a reggae feel and it's a good groove song. Again, the underlying "sex" theme Britney has to hang on to in order to further her career.
10 - Shadow - is a great song. Probably the best effort on the CD, in my opinion, as well as the only slow ballad.
11 - Brave New World - Is a typical girly, girly song you'd hear on a Leagally Blond soundtrack (and that does seem to be the popular opinion of that particular track). I guess she needs to throw a cute song on there to keep the little girl's parents approval.
And the last track - 12 - Everytime - is an obvious apology to Justin. We all expected something like this, but let's face it . . . you deserve the "Cry Me A River" rebuttle. We're over it and have left it behind, please let us.
All-in-all . . . it's just an okay CD. Will it grow on you and I? Sure it will. Will it sell more than her 3rd effort "Britney"? Nahhh . . . I don't think so. It's just a typical, boring CD and exactly what we expected. When are we going to let her, the little stick of sex, be? Entertainment, yea. Meat to grab onto and recognize . . . no way.

"Yo Craig do ur THANG, take yourTIME, n Speak ur MIND.."

You all need to understand what this cd's all about, Craigs first cd (born to Do it) was based on his experineces growing up in UK, melodic, different, setting the stage from 2 step and his garge dj BackGround to a sound of RnB. Its sold what 7 million u gotta respect that. Wiht traxx like "Walking Away"(listen to it) u know there reak meaning to back it up, and now cd 2, Slicker Than Your Average, thats exactly what it is. This cd aint as soft, its more Rnb, still has some 2-step, still has the "Born To Do It" melody unsurpassed, but now it gotts meaning, it has edge, its his progression! Track 1 is his story, just hype! Whats ur flava is a new flava/style, its jus funky, Hidden Agenda is classic Craig, the rhymes, the meoldy many all wanted on a so called "Born To Do It part 2", "You dont miss your water" is a natural progression to "Walking Away"! "2-steps" is something to get anyone up, a UK 2 step beat with so much meaning...thats one of a kind in a drowned out genre! I'll skip half the ret for u al to hear for yourself, but Track 12 is my perosonal fav, you'l never hear a song about what he's talking about, but you'l understand it i know that! Dont ask "whats changed" with Craig, listen to da lyrics, the beats, you wont be dissapointed.Cant wait for cd 3, its gonna be even more different, now how many singers can u say that about!
