Britney Is A "Brave New Girl"

Britney's latest Cd is a major departure from her past music. So, if you love ...baby one more time, you'll probably be really disappointed with this album. "Me against The Music" is by far the best song on the CD and that may be thanks to Madonna. Britney's singing leaves a lot to be desired. "I Got That Boom Boom" is a great song to dance to. The banjo really makes it interesting. "Showdown" is annyoing. It's basically Britney just talking in low, lusty tones, which some people may like but I just found it extremely boring. "Breath On Me" I like, though once again, Britney is just moaning on the track, but the beat is much better. "Early Mornin'" is a good song but the singing once again wrecks the song. "Toxic" is actually pretty good, I love the eastern influence on the track. "Outrageous" was written by R. Kelly so the song would have been great for him to do but Britney just isn't the right kind of preformer for this song. "Touch Of My Hand" is awesome , Britney's voice really compliments the song. The lyrics may bother some people since they refer to masturbation but the song is great. "The Hook Up" Is another song I would rather have never heard. It's kinda like she's trying to sing like Shaggy, and it does not suit her. This is the worst song on the album. "Shadow" is great, from the lyrics to the music. Britney's singing is so-so. "Brave New Girl" is good, but only because the back-up singers save the song. It's a techno song, which I don't think Britney is really suited for either. "Everytime" is such a pretty song. The lyrics are average, but the music is great. It's nice to hear a song with the piano being the main instrument.Britney's singing is actually quite good on this track."Me Against The music" rishi Rich's Desi Kulcha remix is pretty good but I prefer the original. Overall this album is pretty bad, with a few redeeming songs. Britney is better when she's singing pure pop.

loosen up

... Sco is one of the best jazz guitarists out there. He's always stretching himself and pushing the envelope. This cd is loaded with solid grooves and tight solos. The tunes on this cd are dymanic and have lots of motion. This cd is for anyone who likes orginal and creative music with the grovve in the center of it all.

The VOICE is BACK

I don't know what album some of these reviewers are listening to, obviously not the same one I am. Maybe a few have slipped into a crack-induced coma because the voice isn't "gone," the voice is back!!! And Mariah Carey doesn't need to "imitate" Beyonce. That's just laughable. People please!!! I know you're pissed off because she's still can sing, but try and get a life. You better get out your box of Kleenex because the voice is SENSATIONAL. Just cry at how beautiful it is while you listen to the album. Perhaps if you're looking for a "dog's whistle," you should head to a pet store. Because the only thing on this album is GREAT singing. If you don't like Mariah, then fine. Just go crawl into a hole somewhere so we don't have to hear about your nonsense. If the majority of the 1-star reviewers had half the talent that Mariah does, they wouldn't have time to share their stupidity. Get "The Emancipation of Mimi." You'll LOVE it!!!

Listen to it again

I bought this album because it IS Anthony Stewart Head and I DO obsess over "Buffy." Plus, the main reason I obsess over the show is Amber Benson. So, I had to get this album. The first time I listened...I hated it. I decided to listen again, though. I now can't stop. "We Can Work It Out" is such an amazing cover of the song that I could die. "End Game" makes me cry every time. "All the Fun of the Fair," though, is my absolute favorite on the album. It's just a great song. The opening line I wrote this song when I was young is perfect. The album is just amazing and I couldn't be happier that I gave it a second chance.
