And if you want more

I noticed that the "average customer review" has given this album 5 stars, which I was going to give it also. I am going to assume that everything that can be said about this album has been said in the previous reviews. That allows me to write a small review for the Nels Cline (electric guitar) and Gregg Bendian (drums, percussion, vibraphone) cd called INTERSTELLAR SPACE REVISITED.
Gregg is most famous for his work with "free" pianist Cecil Taylor, and while Nels is probably only known by those who are already fans of his, his improvisational imagination and skill deserves more recognition.
On INTERSTELLAR SPACE REVISITED, Nels and Gregg take the basic themes from each track of Coltranes INTERSTELLAR SPACE and they then use them as the launching pad for some truly deep-space improvisation. REVISITED isn't a tired and derivative "tribute" album, it really is a revisitation of a masterpiece, with the purpose of taking these "songs" to planets, galaxies, and black holes that even Trane and Rashied never envisioned for them. Listen to INTERSTELLAR ten times, and then listen to REVISITED ten times, and enjoy the rewards!

A truly beautiful album!

I very highly recommend this album. I have been a fan of Michael Crawford's for years. He sings each song with such tenderness, warmth, and love. I'd give this 100 stars if I could!

New Wave Punk

This is a very innovative album. When you listen to this album the first thing you notice is that the band is really trying hard to create a new sound (as noticeable in "Dear Charlotte" and "Lonely Girl.") There are some songs that sound like Bad Religion ("Insult to Injury"), then there are amazing pop punk tunes ("In Memory"), and still others that are just aggressive, quick-paced, pure punk rock tracks ("Nobody").
From Santa Cruz, Craig's Brother is a non-Christian group out of a Christian-oriented label. The lead singer is amazing on vocals, combined with awesome b/g vocals, original guitar compositions, and intelligent lyrics. You will not be dissappointed. My favourite Tooth and Nail band ... YES ... even better than MxPx.

Phat rockin beatz!!

One of my favorite albums of all time and one of the best albums of the 1990's. The dark techno vibe carries you from the very first track and takes you on a journey while assaulting your senses from all sides through to the final one. If you're under 30 and haven't got this in your collection then you must be either dead or dull.
