Great Texan Song Writing

Iahve had the pleasure of seeing MDM live several times, and he is one of the better of the "new crop" of Texas-Austin singer/songwriters. a great album! Also check out Tales From the Cough Curcuit.

Truely Klemmer

My all time favorite jazz saxaphonist. Klemmer has the insight and talent most promise but never deliver. Smooth and smokey, deeply insightful and all you could expect from a sax. You can't go wrong with this one.

Absolutely horrible...

I used to consider myself possibly the biggest Mariah Carey fan. I had all of her albums, any posters and magazine interviews. In my opinion, she started going downhill with her Butterfly album and hasn't stopped plummeting downhill since. She could have added her songs to a ton of soundtracks in the first few years of her career, and she would have had a huge success with that. Instead, she made a lousy movie of her own, accompanied by possibly the worst soundtrack I have ever heard in my life. In fact, the one song I did like in the movie (the one that the 10-year old Mariah sang with her mom in the beginning) is not even on the soundtrack, and I am so upset about that. Mariah just needs to go back to working with David Cole and Walter Afanasief (I think I butchered that name--sorry), and singing in the style that made her famous. She was in her prime with music box. Daydream was not as good, Butterfly was terrible, and I didn't bother to listen to the one that came after that. I was turned off enough by that album cover--Mariah in her underwear and a tank top twisted up to her chest. That was enough of a turn-off for me. I was not interested in seeing her half-naked, nor was I interested in seeing the back-shot of that picture. She stopped focusing on her talent as a singer and started focusing on showing almost every inch of her body. She had an absolutely incredible gift, and she's just thrown it away. I think she couldn't sing the way she used to sing even if she wanted to.So, I would strongly advise against buying this album, if you haven't already. It's the worst album she has ever done, and it's not worth the money.

An imaginary tale of love and loss.

A very warm and mystical movie. Mr. Spielberg has made a film that will tug at the hearts of those who just want to cozy up and share a tear or two with someone special.
