I just got to listen to it today ...

I was a little disappointed in the soundtrack, not that it wasn't good, but I was looking for the music that was playing when they were dancing and when she was in the bath. No one seems to be able to tell me who it is, and it is driving me insane. From the trailers I have been told it was Rushing by Moby and Nara by ES Posthumus .... don't get me wrong this soundtrack is very pretty, but when you buy it for one song and it isn't on there ... it is a little disappointing ...

Listen to the music

I got this album for Christmas last year and found that it was even more than I expected. Her first album was typical teeny pop, but this album did a lot more to set her apart from the rest. Each song seems to have a feel all its own and her voice is divine. I look forward to her next endeavor! Definitely a must buy if you appreciate talent rather than hype.

Mono--- this one's contagious!

"Formica Blues" is a great album! I first got attracted to "Life in Mono" when I saw Great Expectations, the movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Ethan Hawke. I immediately got the soundtrack, and I couldn't have enough of Mono...then I knew about their debut album, "Formica Blues." I just had to get it! And, it's amazing. It really is. However, Siobhan's voice do seem to get out of place down along the album. I recommend it to people who like Pulp, Radiohead, and Natalie Imbruglia.

Masterpiece

John Legend has lived up to his name. There was one Sam Cooke, one Donny Hathaway, now one John Legend. As a previous reviewer mentioned, this is the rare CD that you can listen to all the way through and the skip button is not used at all. I've listened to this CD almost every day for a week and a half and each time is fresh and I'm still not tired of it yet. By this CD if you appreciate food music. I hope that he gets all of the props he deserves, and if this album doesn't receive a Grammy for best album of the year, then the Grammy's are devoid of meaning.
