something worth buying

Well I am not so sure what I could say about the CD as a whole, but there are certainly some songs that I just love. I know that everyone has a different taste as n what to listen to so if you are a bit like me and like songs that will bring a tear to your eyes and remind you of a lost love, then this CD may have something to offer you. I am not supposed to live you any more is superb and that is anoter song is just as good. I love it

Grab this Recording...and I mean quick!

Guys and Dolls has been very well served on CD. This recording on Jay Records is a diamond in the rough. Several years ago there was a Broadway revival starring Nathan Lane and Peter Gallagher. From that wonderful production came a great CD, which every fan of this musical should own. The subject of this review is a studio recording made in 1995. It is in everyway just as outstanding a CD as the Broadway revival recording. In it are Kim Criswell as Adelaide, and Emily Loesser (Frank's daughter) as Sister Sarah. Both sing their roles with idiomatic charm. An added bonus to this very complete (2 CD) recording are new renditions of some tunes found only in the movie (starring Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando), including "A Woman in Love". It bears repeating, grab this recording before it goes out of print. I promise buyers will be delighted with this gem.

Absolutely wonderful!

I picked up this album at the midnight release of the "Candle In The Wind '97" single. It wasn't supposed to be released until the following morning, but I got extremely lucky in asking what was playing while the cash register went down and asking if I could purchase it then.

I am quite firmly convinced that it's the best random purchase I have ever made. The only song that hits me wrong in the general feel of the album is "I Can't Steer My Heart Clear Of You", and even that song communicates a depth of feeling that allows me to ignore the break.

The best song? "The End Will Come", hands down. Followed closely by "Love's Got A Lot To Answer For", "If The River Can Bend", and "Wicked Dreams".

My ex-husband introduced me to Elton John's music. Normally, this would turn me off an artist simply because of the memories. Instead, I became a fan. This album has gotten me through a lot of hard times, and I don't think I'll ever stop listening to it regularly. It's been a regular on my playlist since it's release.
