Great Austin Folk-Rock

I am mystified as to why this record and this artist do not gain more attention. From the first song til the last this is a great album. I believe Michale Hall lives in Austin but this is not simply another Alt-Country Americana disc. It combines the best of the desert sound of Giant Sand with the best of the hushed emotions of American Music Club. Ya gotta get it!

Not enough adjectives meaning "AWESOME" for In The Zone

Nothing compares to this brilliant work of art. This is one of those CD's that is a constant in your CD player. It has yet to come out of mine since I bought it on November 18th. And, if you want more, make sure you download all the bonuse tracks from the overseas releases of In The Zone. They're all available at Britneyforums.net

All are brilliant. Kudos Britney for going above and beyond my expectations for this CD. I knew it would be good. I didn't know it would be THIS good.

The game goes on.

While most musicians develope, evolve, and craft their unique talent (or, at the very least, attempt to), Britney takes random peices of "mainstream" or "popular" techniques that other musicians have developed and calls them her own. In The Zone provides the listener with a jumbled mess of desperate styles that Britney had no part in producing, an embaressingly over-synthisized vocals (is she really such a bad singer that they must do this to her voice? no wonder she never sings live!), and a crowd of sold-out celebraty talent (Moby and Madonna, for example). If you are looking for music that provides a hint of intellectual inspiriation, stay far away from this disk. Britney is quite content to talk about herself, thank you, and she sure does think she's quite the queen. In The Zone is about sex, masterbation, breathing on eachother, one-night stands, (how surprising!!!) lost love (apprently Britney still can't stop thinking about Justin, even though it's been years since anyone cared), and of course Britney X10 (not that she has anything very interesting to say about herself). So ya, if you want to fill you brain with an over-produced, under-talented tip-of-the-iceburg glance at all that's popular on the corprate-driven MTV, then you may want to consider downloading Britney's fourth album. I would recommened finding something better to do with your energy.

Title: Master Series
Label: Polygram Int'l
Artist: Bruce Willis
Rating: 1/5

not again!

Bruce insulted us once before with his take on the blues in the "return of Bruno", and here, he is back possing as an artist who cannot sing, a part he plays very well. All the master series means is that they made the tracks digital, so Bruce's singing sounds even more off key. there is no fun to be found in this disc.
