Christina Aguileara - stripped

WOW! Christina Aguilera went from -Christina Aguilera-Mi Reflejo-My Kind Of Christmas-Just Be Freeand finally... "Stripped"! Wow! Every song on the cd is great! For all the people who gave the cd 1's need to get it together. I realize that most of the low ratings were because of her new LOOKS but I believe that we are reviewing the songs and not the videos. The other big thing is that most of the 1's say that the songs have no meaning or importance. If you feel that way you should re-listen to the cd, especially #14 Soar. But enough about that... the cd is full of great vocals, songs, and plenty of good beats that just make you want to dance!

John William's has done it again

I was really anticipating listening to the new music for the Phantom Menance, and I liked it, but it could be better. I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous Star Wars soundtracks. I was disappointed that they did not decide to have it like the Special Edition soundtracks that I are the best. There's no Fox Fanare, and I am sure there's additional new music in the film that's not on the cd. Most of the tracks were good. I found the music very moving and emotional. I am glad that they decided to stick with the original Star Wars main theme and not create a new one for the occasion. The music is very reminiscent of the previous Star Wars music and even some of Williams' other work. I thought that the finale was similar the Special Edition ewok song. I liked the Williams weaved the different themes together in the previous end credit music but I that wasn't even done hear. They went from the Star Wars main theme repreive, then Duel of the Fates, and then Anakin's Theme. All in all, though, I look foward to seeing how the music is with the film in a couple weeks.

The music provides feelings of nostalgia and times past

For one to really appreciate the mood and feeling in this selection, it would be good to first have the opportunity to view the Imax 3-D movie of the same name. That doesn't mean it is necessary to have seen the movie and the associated sound track. This music selection stands on its own. The music was composed by John Barry who also conducted the English Chamber Orchestra. The movie and the music have achieved something of a cult following. This is a result, perhaps, due to the extraordinary presentation of the movie and sound track in the Imax environment.

Missing "Beware" but still worth 5 stars

Like another reviewer I was hugely dissapointed that "Beware, Brother, Beware" , which was originally on "Reckless Abandon" is not included in the cd. I too am at a loss as to why. It is one of his funkiest and funniest songs. That said, this combination of what were 2 albums by the David Bromberg Band still gets 5 stars for the many other variously energetic and poignantly beautiful songs. I do hope that "Beware, Brother, Beware" will see cd light of day.
